Higher Ground is seeking a Business Development professional with a strong background in advertising and media sales. The ideal candidate is a highly strategic and consultative thinker about business strategy who can drive revenue and grow our existing advertising business and develop diversified revenue streams.
You’ll bring an extensive network of contacts, and established relationships with large brands eager to connect with a broad audience. In this key position you will showcase Higher Ground’s distinctive storytelling and community engagement, demonstrating the value of collaboration to prospective clients. The position is based in Los Angeles and will report to the Head of Audio.
We are seeking an experienced sales leader with a strong advertising and media sales background, an extensive book of business and deep, high level direct to client relationships with Fortune 500 brands with a primary focus on reaching female consumers. The role will report to the Head of Audio.

Responsibilities:
Strategic Development: Create and execute the short and long term revenue strategy, including defining and driving performance metrics; identifying strategic areas of focus; and working cross functionally with internal teams to provide informed, evidence-based input to unlock current and future opportunities that support our advertiser and partner needs.
Opportunity Identification: Proactively seek and secure new business opportunities to meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong executive-level relationships with clients, exploring new avenues for engagement and growth.
Industry Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth understanding of Higher Ground’s intellectual properties, programming, and emerging consumer channels to advocate for client needs in campaign development.
Networking: Represent Higher Ground at strategically important events and proactively seek introductions and build relationships with decision makers.
Collaborative Environment: Cultivate an innovative and inclusive team culture that fosters the development of impactful client solutions.
Requirements:
8+ years of experience in the podcast sales space.
Proven track record as a results-driven sales leader known for consistently exceeding revenue goals and motivating teams.
Self-starter with strong strategic thinking capabilities and a collaborative mindset.
Deep client-centric focus, with established relationships in Fortune 500 brands aiming to engage diverse audiences.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining a keen attention to detail.
A dedication to fostering an inclusive workplace that values diverse perspectives and experiences.
Willingness to travel as required to meet client needs and build connections.
